Snoqualmie Valley Winter Elopement

Snoqualmie Valley is what you might call a hidden gem. It’s got great access year round and is a short drive from Seattle, making it a great destination to elope in the mountains. I love that you can get views of mountains, snow, and forest all in one day!

Maddie and Adam’s elopement started in the town of Cle Elum where they stayed in a local Airbnb with their family for the weekend. They enjoyed a home cooked breakfast together while getting ready for their day. I met them at the Snoqualmie Pass trailhead where we found solitude hiking without any other passerby. As the sun rose above the mountains, they exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones. They had so much fun playing in the snow in their element. It was such a becautiful moment to celebrate together and with their closest family.

Afterwards, we headed to a local cafe where we had a mini reception to sign their marriage license under dry cover and get a quick pick-me-up coffee. Then, they said goodbye to family (who then took care of dinner) as we drove to their next stop: a wintery hike to a gorgeous waterfall. They had a blast dancing in rain for some epic photos next to the gushing falls! We found few people on the trail and absolutely nobody at the falls. What a lovely way to celebrate their elopement day on a secluded hike.

To wrap up the day, Maddie and Adam headed to North Bend for a short walk with hot cocoa through the mossy forest. The rain finally let up for a brief moment and the colors in the forest were popping left and right. They were so stoked to have such an incredible variety of scenery to adventure through their Snoqualmie Valley elopement!
