C&J love hiking in Washington, so it was only natural that they wanted a unique North Bend adventure elopement to say their vows. While they considered a longer sentimental hike, they ultimately chose two shorter trails that I suggested. Each of these trails had a breathtaking view for the perfect intimate elopement. Initially rain was in the forecast, but it held off until the second day. But nothing could stop these true Pacific Northwest adventurers from saying “I do”.
On the evening of their vow ceremony (with no guests present), C&J hiked together to a stunning overlook. We were surrounded by mossy trees and local North Bend mountains. At the lookout, C&J changed into their elopement attire and C even decided to go barefoot! They read their vows to the wind, with only the sound of the running river that echoed in the valley. After cheers-ing champagne with real glass, C&J explored the rest of the forest and other overlooks nearby. All the while, I captured every little moment. It was truly a beautiful evening for their North Bend elopement.
The next day, light rain set in as everyone arrived at the trailhead. We met up with C&J’s closest friends and family, all ready to embark on the short trail to a different overlook than the day before. Everyone wore their classic PNW gear, aka rain jackets and even a few umbrellas. C&J started up the trail before everyone to have extra time to change into their wedding clothes. Soon, everyone arrived at the balcony in anticipation for celebrating C&J’s love.
J’s brother officiated, adding a warm touch to their ceremony. They exchanged rings in front their guests and sealed it off with a kiss. They all celebrated with champagne up top and sandwiches at the bottom of the trail, where C&J’s grandparents were waiting for them.
We took a mid-day break to dry off and change once again before the dinner reception at Salish Lodge. C&J treated everyone to an incredible multi-course dinner overlooking the Snoqualmie Falls. The reception was complete with toasts, a surprise wedding cake from C’s sister, and handmade soap guest gifts from C’s mom. Guests even signed a signature champagne bottle, creating a treasured keepsake of the day.
C&J truly balanced the best of both worlds for their North Bend elopement. They got to say their vows in private and still celebrate with their closest loved ones. From forested lookouts to misty waterfalls, they had the most beautiful PNW elopement!
